The weather is fine but threatening. The is poor. The results so far are: — Hutt Handicap: Okoari 1, Sirocco 2, Donovan 3. All started but Volley and Strathbraan. Okoari led all the way and won easily by three lengths. Time 1.45 2-5. Dividend, £3 9/.
St. Leger: Miss Delaval 1, Skobeloff 2, St. Ilario 3. Also ran: Glen-, ogle. Glenogle led for a mile, when Miss Delaval got- on terms; then Skobelofr" put in a decided challenge, and Glenogle tiring fast, fell away last. In the straight the Auckland mare had to be shaken up, but eventually "won rather easily by a length. Time, 3,12. Dividend, £3 10/. y Pacific Handicap.—Canine Chiel 1, Shannon 2, Paphos 3. Also ran: Melwood. Cannie Chiel was in front all the way, but had to be ridden hard in the straight to stall off Shannon, and won by a neck. Time, 1.22. Dividend, £3 7/. Autumn Handicap.—ldeal, 1; Volley, 2; Dundas, 3. All started. A pretty 3-ace to the straight, vvhen Ideal shoi; | through and won comfortably by a ; length. Time, 2min 12 2-ssec. Dividend, £4 10s.
