THE GOVERNOR.
His Excellency1 the Governor, the Countess of Ranfurly, Lady Constance Knox, Lady Eileen Knox, Miss Richmond and Captain Alexander, returned home this afternoon from their week's tour. The vice-regal party paid a visit to Te Aroha yesterday, and they were met at the railway station by Mr E. Gallagher, Chairman of the Domain Board, and Mr Hill, the secretary. Subsequently the vice-regal party were taken for a drive. Mr E. Hardy's mine and battery at Waiorongoniaiwere visitedjight refreshments being provided by the proprietor. Later in the afternoon the vice-regal jparty enjoyed the baths. Lord Ranfurly visited the new apartments set apart for Mr Mnir, the hydropathist, recently engaged by the Domain Board." His Excellency was shown a patient undergoing the "pack" form of treatment, " Lord Kanfurly was greatly pleased with the baths, and he stated' that he would again visit Te Aroha in an unofficial manner, lie was delighted with the fine Sanatorium and the splendid condition in which it was kept. The vice-regal party then adjourned to the Hot Springs Hotel, where afternoon tea was served by Mr and Mrs W. H. Knock.
