Insurance shares changed hands •i on the Exchange to-day at 61/, with ; steady demand at the same rate. : South British Insurance were still ! wanted at 59/, and Nationals at 16/8. ■; National Bank shares were again i I wanted at 59/6, but holders did not ; i quote. Auckland Gas (old issue) firni•led a little, being wanted at £13 12/6, ; \ and new had buyers at £10 10/, but ■no sales were reported. In mining • stocks almost the whole enquiry was 1 for shares in up country mines. Tal- :. ismans again sold to-day at 11/6, with : further buyers at the same rate. Crowns were wanted at 13/4, and Waitekauris at 37/, but no sales were re- ; ported. Tairua-Broken Hill shares had buyers at 1/10, and Maratotos at , 1/4. In Thames lines the only demand | was for May Queens at 2/4, and MonoI wa-i shares at 6d.
