EXCURSION TO CAMBRIDGE.
(To the Editor.)
Sj r) —When the Governor visits Cambridge on the 27th prox. for the purI pose of opening- the Chrysanthemum | Society's Show would not a special excursion train be a boon and afford pleasure to many of our citizens? I have often hoped for an opportunity of visiting- Cambridge, the health resort of the Waikato, and just now I am ■told that the town would be seen at its best. Probably this end could be achieved if Mr Satchell, the genial Secretary of the Auckland Horticultural Society were to take the matter in hand. Mr Wright of the Criterion Tea liooms would place a room at Mr Satchell's disposal, and if he were to insert an advertisement in the papers calling a meeting of those interested such a response would be made as would warrant the Department in putting on a special excursion ti-ain. That, those understanding the business will take the matter in hand is the wish of a ■•^YOULD'-BE-EXCUESIONIST. 30th March. 19G0.
