Mr Hume, formerly of the Wellington Artillery (N.Z.), has been appointed one of the officers of the Imperial Bushmen.

SYDNEY, March 19.

The sum of £10,000 has been subscribed in London for the Bushmen's Fund. It will be distributed among the various colonies in proportion to the number of men sent, as follows: —New South Wales, £3535; Queensland, £2249; Victoria, £1982; West Australia, £836; South Australia, £720; and Tasmania, £275.
