THE ELINGAMITE.

The s.s. Elingamite arrived from the South at 10.30 a.m. to-day. The vessel was delayed in the South by the large amount of cargo which she carried, the total being one of the largest carried by a vessel on the coast. Mr A. Speakman, the purser, reports that she left Dunedin on the 13th inst., arrived and sailed from Lyttelton next day, arrived at Wellington loth, and left at 5 p.m. on the 16th, called at Napier and Gisborne. The latter port was left at 10 a.m. yesterday, and the steamer arrived as stated. Experienced fine weather and variable winds throughout. The Elingamite lands SOO tons of cargo, and has 500 tons from the South for Sydney, for which port she leaves at 10 o'clock to-night.
