VOLUNTEER NOTES.

The Victoria Rifles No. 1 on Saturday afternoon fired for medals presented by Lieut- Cox (for "A" class shots), Captain Skinner (for "B" class), and Lieut. Cox (for "C" class). The first competition was wron by Private Carlson, the second by Private Exton (who retains the medal as his own property, having already Avon it once), and the third by Private T. Kerr.
