SHEEP BREEDERS' ASSOCIATION.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
CHRISTCHURCH, this day.
A well-attended meeting of the South Island branch of the Sheepbreeders' Association was held last night. A resolution was passed reopening the flock book until the end of October, to allow of merino sheep being registered. It was decided that registration could only be effected on payment of double entry fee and payment of arrears of subscriptions as from the start of the flock book. Deputations were appointed to wait on the various agricultural associations in the colony, to urge that only stock entered in the flock and herd books should be allowed to compete at shows.
