Yvry interesting work was put in on the Hustings' course this morning, many of the competitors being given winding-up gallops in view of to-mor-row's races. Screw Gun, with Derrott up, galloped six furlongs in great style, doing the last live in Imin ssec, a record for the course. He is very well. Coronet ran the best once round yet recorded for this meeting", coveringl the distance in Imin 43sec, and finishing strongly. Skobeloff, Tolstoi and Jadoo, in company,galloped five furlongs, Stead's colt finishing in front in Imin 6sec. TortulJa and Whitney ran once round in Imin 47sec, the Cnp mare pulling hard all the way. Palaver and Donovan ran a good six furlongs in Imin 21see. the mare finishing in front. The weather pt-omises to be beautiful for the races.
