THE PLAGUE.
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—Up to the present time i ■.'_!??s not heard of any precautions being taken to prevent the introduction of plague to' means of timber vessels trading between Sydney and Kaipara. As far as I can learn, the latter authorities have not taken action. Presumably something will be done to secure the immunity .o* this district, which is in daily communication with Auckland.—Yours, etc., -■/;
