The Mapourika arrived at 11 o'clock this morning with cargo and passengers. The s.s. Kanieri was placed on the company's slip last night, where she is undergoing an overhaul. The Union Co.'s s.s. Rotoiti left for Southern ports last evening at 7.30. Whe*» about five miles down the harbour, hoy. ever, she took the ground, and effort., to back her off the bank proved fruitless. This morning- at high water a-further effort was made, the Mapourika assisting, but she still remains in the same position. It is expected that she will get off tonight, as- tho tides are now making. No damage was done, the only inconvenience being the delay down the harbour.
