SYDNEY, this day.
. The Premier, speaking at Hay, said that there were two hundred thousand men in the colony between "the ages of 18 and 45, of whom 90,000 were capable of bearing arms, and using them. While sending troops the colony was taking every precaution in the matter of local defence. He warmly advocated compulsory drillingl of "the boys of the public schools. Mr Chamberlain has cabled to Mr Lyne expressing his gratification at the colonies' readiness to supply more troops.
HOBATiT, March 5. Tbe Bush Contingent has sailed amidst a scene of great enthusiasm.
