THAMES, Monday.
The Thames .T.C. Autumn Meeting at Parawai, despite the threatening state of the weather .early In the morning-, was well attended. The rain did not seem to have affected the course at all, the rattle of the horses' hoofs at times sounding as if they were galloping over a macadamised road. The racing- was very good, and the arrangements of the club officials wero all that could be desired. The following aro the results:—
Maiden Plate, G furlongs—Repetition, S 0 (Stewart), 1; Swiftfoot,' 8.6, 2; Sly Miss, 7.7, 3. Also started: Perseverance, Belfast, Lightning. Won by three lengths. Dividend, £4 2/. Hurdle Race, lj mile.—Voltigeur, 12.0 (Burns.), 1; Stockman, 9.0, 2; Libeller, 9.10, 3. Also ran: La Belle and Glenarm Won easily by two lengths. Dividend, £1 6/ Miners' Union Handicap, 1 mile.—Admiral Hawke, 5.13 (White), 1; Castroline, 8.2, 2; The Needle, 9.4, 3. Also ran: Porangi Potae and Swlft*:>ot. A splendid race. Won by a head, same between second and third. Dividend, £1 8/. Pony Race, 0 furiongs.—Trooper 8 2 (W Gall), 1; My Lord, 7.5, 2; Leona, 8.10 3.' Also ran: Repetition, Bob, Cora, and Oom Paul. Won by a neck. Dividend £1 6/ Steeplechase, 2£ miles.—Natation, 11.2 (Rae), 1; Stockman, 9.7, 2. La Belle 9.12 fell, and Voltigeur, 11.7, and Glenarm, 9.7, did not finish. Dividend, £1 5/. Hack Race.—Sly Miss, 8.1, lj Lightning, 7.8, 2; Kate, 7.4, 3. Also ran: Perseverance, Pickpocket, Rowdy, and Jackdaw Won by 14 lengths. Dividend, 15/. Final Handicap, G furlongs.—The Needle 9.5, 1; St. Innis, 7.12, 2: Lady Dash, 8.6. 3' Also ran: Telephone, Puhia. Porangi Potae, and The Sharper. Won by three lengths. Dividend, 35/.
