THAMES CRICKET.
THAMES, Saturday. A large amount of interest is taken in the match begun this afternoon between St. Albans C.C. and Tararu C.C. The record of each team for the season is identical, and each has beaten the other once. St. Albans Avon the toss and stopped in nearly the Avhole afternoon, compiling 72 runs, toAvards which total LoAA-e (1C) and BoAvden (13) Avere the only double-figure contributors. Tararu gave the best exhibition of fielding seen on the ground for a long time, and this is the chief cause for the sloav run-getting. Tararu had ten minutes' batting, and made 9 runs without losing a Avicket, and, with their strong batting side, should have a big chance of Avinniug next Saturday. For Tararu Ne.vton^took 2 Avickets for 15 runs: Graham, 1 for IS; Carter, 4 for 21; B. McGregor, 3 for 12. —(OAvn Correspondent.)
