CRICKET.
Albany v. Ivy Dale.—This match resulted in a win for Albany on the first innings by 41 runs, the chief scores were:—Guerin 31, Lowry 12 and Hill 24, while Aylett and Guerin were the most successful with the ball. This is the fourth time that these teams have met, Albany only meeting with one reverse.
Northcote v. Smith and Caughey.— Played at Northcote. The home team scored 73 and Smith and Caughey 36. For the winners Whatford played sound cricket for 35, and Cossar (15) was highest scorer for Smith and Caughey. Arblaster, 5 wickets for 12; Whatford, 2 for 11; and W. Tonar, 1^ for no runs, bowled well for Northcote. Morgan, 5 wickets for 32, was the most sucessfulc bowler for Smith and Caughey.
