DEAD BODY FOUND.

j The \X)dy of an infant was found yesterday morning' in the Roman Catholic Cemetery. Tile discovery was made about nine o'clock by a boy named Bowden, who notic<?d a sugarbag, with evidently something1 inside, lying on the grass nexir the wall ot the cemetery. He called the gravedigger, who opened the bag and found inside the dead body of a female infant, wrapped up in brown paper. The body was in a bad state of decomposition, having evidently been exposed for about a fortnight. It appeared to be that of a child about a week or a fortnight old. Constable Douthett was sent for, and he removed the body to the city morgue, Avhere a postmortem examination was made by Dr. Sharman. An inquest was opened at Gleeson's Uotel this morning by Dr. McArthur (Coroner), and, after the evidence of Oanstable Douthett had been taken, wits adjourned till next Saturday. _________
