QUEENSLANDERS' REMOUNTS.
BRISBANE, February 17. Major Ricardo, writing from Belmont on January 19, says 53 of the Queensland contingent's horses have died of pneumonia, and the balance, including many sick, have been sent 'away for a spell. The Queenslander* j will now be infantry pure and simple. ■ aud unless his efforts to obtain remounts in the Argentine are successful, he is afraid the contingent wili not get to the front again.
