SHAREMARKET.
May Queen shares had steady enquiry privately on the Exchange today, and at the call 2/9 was offered, but the lowest quoted seller was 4/. A few days ago sellers were willing to accept 2/0, but no buyers quoted. [Crowns had demand at 13/, and Talismans at 11/6, but no sales were made. Woodstocks were also enquired for at :i/. and buyers again offered 34/ for Grand Junctions. In cheaper lines Waihi Extendeds were wanted at lOd, Souths Old. and Ohinemuri shares at 4!d. Standard lines showed little change on last week's position. Northern Steam shares, however, changed hands at. 7/, with buyers left at 6/10. Auckland Gas'(old issue) were wanted at £1.1, and new issue tit £9 15/.
