Barometer—Rise everywhere. Sea—Considerable on West Coast southward of Cape Farewell, heavy from thence northward, heavy on East coast south of East Cape after from 10 to M hours. ' „ , . ~,.. Tides-High on Western Coast, of the North Island, also on the East Coast south of East Cape, moderate at other T)l£lC6S Rain is probable in most places southward of East Cape, Taupo, and Cape Egmont, and colder weather everywhere. Warning signals for westerly galea are exhibited at Capes Campbell, 1< alewell Spit, and Foulwind. Synopsis of the last 48 hours-Moderate to strong -westerly winds have been prevalent, decreasing pressure, with ram in most parts of the country. Low pressures to the west and north-west on the 17th, continued to decrease in intensity, and the former passed eastward at the meridian of South Cape yesterday. Low pressure from the west will piobabiy pass, on the 23rd or 24th inst.
