Captain Asa Whitney met, with a very painful accident while setting the pigeon traps at the Gun Club's grounds, Epsom, this morning. He unwittingly set the spring free, with the result "that he wus struck in the face and his jaw broken. He is progressing as favourably as can be expected. The total profits of the Premier Picnic are to be devoted to the Patriptic Fund.
The Inspector of Factories was present at the inquest on the body of Samuel Martin, who died from the results of an accident at the Western Springs, on behalf of the Labour Department.
