WRECK RETURNS.
The official return of British wrecks for September is to hand. The number and tonnasre of British vessels respectin«- whose loss reports were received at 'the-'Board'of Trade during the month of September, and the number of lives lost, are as follows:—Sailing 29. tonnage 594r». lives lost 46: steam 7. tonnage 41G2. no lives lost: total 36. tonnage 10,107. lives lo«t 46. The above table is ar record of reports received in the month, and not of wrecks which occurred during the month. Many of the reports received in September relate to casualties which occurred in previous months. Casualties not resulting in total loss of vessels and the lives lost by such casualties, are not included. •
