WELLINGTON, Tuesday
The official returns for the poll for Wellington City are: — Hutcheson, 7436; Atkinson, 6703; Fisher, 6442; Mac Donald, 6320; Hislop, 6297; Jellicoe, 4751; Luke, 3812; Carmichael, 1004; Earnshaw, 851; Duncan, 78. An error made by one of the deputy returning, officers was discovered. The effect of the discovery has been to place Mr Macdonald fourth on the list instead of Mr Hislop.

CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday.
The scrutineers in the Riccarton election sat from nine a.m. until one p.m. to-day. The result is still unsettled, as several disputed points have 3 ret to be decided. It will probably take two or three days before the issue is definitely settled.
