SJr Godfrey Y. Lagden, Governor of Basutoland, has had interviews with Letherodi and other chiefs, and has succeeded in calming the Basutos. He explained that had they risen many o"f the Dutch would have joined the Boers. Chief Malopos finds it difficult to escape the intrigues of Field Cornet Raumembach.. .
The Boers threaten to arrest the Ba'sutq. chiefs and. British officials.
