WAR RELIEF FUNDS.

- Ladies: of the British aristocracy have formed an organisation known as -the Patriotic British Dames for the purpose of collecting war relief -funds, Up to the present 300 names have been enrolled. LONDON, November 20. "■ The war relief fund now amounts to £270,000, including £24,000 subscribed, by the Stock Exchange. ■■' ' Tlie Queen has ordered _ large number of tins of chocolate as a personal gift to the soldiers in South Africa.

WANGANUI, Tuesday
The subscriptions to the Transvaal relief fund amounted to £418 17/10. Hie odd £1S 17/10 being from the Collegiate School for wounded soldiers.
