Rosser addressed a meeting of employees at the Co-operative Boot Factory during the dinner hour today. A hearty vote of thanks was ac^ corded. : ••.'■- ; Mr Lawry's supporters are requested to meet in the committee room, Eden Terrace, to-morrow evening. Mr W. J:'Napier addressed a meeting of workers at' the factory, of Messrs Cousins and Atkins to-day. At the conclusion of his speech M was awarded a unanimous vote 05 thanks and confidence. Mr Samuel Vaile was waited upon' by a deputation asking him to contest a City seat in the Opposition in-1 terest at the next election. Mr Vaile replied he had spent more than a fair, share of time and money in public? interests and that therefore 'he could, only consent provided committees were set up and the expenses paid. It is more than probable that- Mr Vaile's friends will agree to his terms and that gentleman will be one of the candidates for Auckland City. Mr Malcolm Niccol will address the electors ' to-night !in the Zion Hill; Schoolroom, and will address ladies in the Devonport Hall on Friday afternoon. / ..
