In showery and blustering weather the Tarara seniors began their match against St. Albans seniors this afternoon. Batting first, the latter scored 80, the last five wickets falling at the same total. Tararu before call of time had made 43 for 2 wickets. Carter and Cantley batting well. Scores:— St. Albans, Ist innings: Low, b Carter, 17; T. Derecourt, b Niccol, 24; A. Laing, b New* ton, 5; J. In the junior grade Essendon scored 18 against Foundry Second's 93 for 8 wickets: and Tarara Second scored 52 and 29 for .2 wickets against St. Albans B's 81 and 35.
