HOW TO THREAD A NEEDLE WITH EASE.
The following little manipulation is easy of execution, useful and practical, and will save both temper and nerves. Let the needle be held with the ring and little fingers of the'left hand, instead of the thumb and forefinger <as usual, leaving the latter free to grasp the smallest bit of silk or cotton introduced through the eye, land pull it through. By the old method, when the thread was introduced into the eye and the needle changed from the left hand to the right in order to pull it through, almost invariably there was some exasperating i mischance! —"Science Siftings "
