WELLINGTON NOTES.

WELLINGTON, this day. The Trades t Council resolved to support the Saturday half-holiday move-
ment. The Council also decided to furnish the Auckland Council with a report of the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners on the quantity of manufactured timber imported into Wellington from Auckland.
The Hon. Jno. MeKenzie goes South by the Rotoniahnna to-day, en route do Shag Point, to commence the election campaign.
The Hon. Hall-Jones will be a passenger by the same boat for Lytteltou.
The "Times" declares Mr Kirk has placed himself in the category of a Left Winger.
