i Mr Lyne, replying- to Mr Cavruthers, said ho had no objection to approachnig the other Premiers with a view tcrnaidng joint representation to the Imperial Government- to arrange by cession or purchase that the whole o,C New Guinea may become British territory, but at the present juncture it was not desirable to press the Imperial Government, in its relations with Germany. \
