DAIRY PRODUCE AND SUNDRIES.
The exhibits of dairy produce are unusually numerous this year, and of exceptional excellence. So great was the number of exhibits that the rooms under ithe grandstand were not equal to accommodating1 them, and a large quantity of bacon and hams had to be placed in the corrugated iron shed nearer the tram stables. The entries for butter were very large. Owing to the numerous entries 'the judges were occupied till late,' the public not beingadmitted to the room . until 2.30 o'clock, there being over 80 in one class alone. Altogether the ewtries this year,in dairy-produce were 397, as against 209 last year. Judges: Butter, -Miss Alice Johnson and Mr T. YV. Jones. Bacon, Messrs Trevor and J. 0. Coates.' Bread, cakes, etc., Messrs A. H. Gillespie, J. M. Mennie, and H. M. Frances. Stewards: Messrs 11. Dick, J. E. Taylor, and J. Shepherd.
