DEATH OF CORNELIUS VANDERBILT.
LONDON, September 12. The death of Cornelius Vanderbilt is reported.
The late Cornelius Vanderbilt was
! the son of the great American multimillionaire, Wm. H. Vanderbilt, and grandson of Cornelius Vanderbilt, the I founder of the fortunes of the family.
W. H. Vanderbilt, who increased the
wealth left to him by his father by railway speculations, died in 1883, leaving an enoTmous fortune of many millions to his son Cornelius. The millionaire who has just died owned a splendid pleasure yacht, and had a great deal of property in various parts
of America, but there was nothing to render his career otherwise noteworthy.
