IMPROVING THE FLORAL DISPLAY.
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —It Is the same with the vegetablg 1 as with the animal kingdom, always desir- 1 able to separate the living from the dead, I It is unnecessary to enter into a florileglum I. of reasons wUy such should be the case I' yet bow seldom do we see any effort made | to remove the old blooms from the camel- it
lias, the dead flowers completely spoiling tbe effect of tlie living oues. lv a montu or two it will be the same with the roses. Now in both instances tbe beauty of tho display of flowers would be largely iDereas« ed by nipping or cutting off tbe withered flowers, besides giving great additional vigour to cue rising generation.—l am, etc.
