The manager reports that the low. level is in 225 feet from the mam , crosscut, and the hard country rock , which has prevailed Lor some time past now shows signs of giving away , to a softer formation. The South ; drive on the course of the new reel has been pushed ahead. The lode dur- j iiio- the past week has been rather small, but it has since opened out to 18 inches. Very fair dish prospects are obtained at each breaking down, and all the quartz coming to hand is being saved for treatment. Very fair progress has been made with the western crosscut.
