GOLD MINING DIVIDENDS.
According to the Mines Record the total dividends paid by mining companies registered in the Government. Gazette up to 31st Decembei', IS9S, was as follows: —Dredging companies, £G5,215; alluvial and hydraulic sluicing' companies, £104,004; quartz mining companies. £205,631; total, £'374,913. Dividends paid by English companies, amounts not shown in statutory return, £017.330, making total dividends £092,243. Of this amount £214.025 was paid by companies in existence prior to 1888, and the balance £778,21S by companies registered within the last ten years.. BULLION COMPANY. Manuel and party, who are working" a tribute in the Bullion mine at Tapu, are still meeting with favourable results, so the next crushing should give a good return. Some very rich specimen stone taken out by the tributers was shown in town to-day. The Bullion Company is also now breaking out payable stone from the block below that now being worked by the tributers.
