INDIAN CURRENCY.
BOMBAY, July 10,
The Indian Currency Committee re-comh-end the sovereign as a legal tender, also the reopening of the mints, which will not be restricted to the coinage of gold, the conditions of working being similar to those of the Australian mints. The Committee fixed the legal rate of rupee at 1/4. It is anticipated there will be an effective establishment of a gold standard.
