THE HON. ROLLESTON,
ADDRESS AT HAWERA,
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) HAWERA, this day. Mr Rolleston has" just paid a short visit to Waimate Plains, which were settled under his direction nearly twenty years ago, ahd he expressed great pleasure at the wonderful advance made. He addressed a, meeting here last evening on political aliairs, and received a vote of -thanks. He made special allusion to the Hutcheson affair, as illustrating the bad effect of political leaders extracting ; personal pledges of support. He advocated the principle of land resumption, but advocated better Parliamentary control and more ..judicious proceeding.
