Football (Waihi).-(1) West stands first, City second, and Suburbs third. (2) The Auckland Rugby Union's rule on this point reads as follows: At the end of the season, the club having won the greatest number of matches shall be declared the winner of the Union Cup; .... • hut in the event of two or more clubs having won an equal number, then the club whicn has lost the least number of matcfles shall be declared the -winner. Sfiould there still remain a tie, the matches shall be played off in heats. Other Unions adopt different methods, some scoring by points.
