' The prevailing opinion is that the statement will be brought down on . Friday or Tuesday week. j RAILWAY ACCIDENTS COMPENSATION, j Under the Public Works Act Amendment Bill authority is conferred upon the Minister for Railways to regulate admissions to platforms' of passengers and others. Clause 17 defines the lia- i bility of the Crown for injuries received by passengers on Government railways. Where loss of life or injury ! has been occasioned by any default of I the Railway Department the maximum sum recoverable shall not exceed £2000. I
