The vessel leaves at four o'clock this afternoon, and proceeds to Tonga calling at Nukualofa on Wednesday next, and Vavau on Thursday. Thence the vessel proceeds to Samoa, calling at Apia, the scene of the recent war, and Pago Pago, the American coaling station. Leaving there on Tuesday, ISth inst., the steamer proceeds to Fiji, calling at Levuka and Suvaa. At Suva a stay of four days will be made, the vessel arriving on Sunday, 23rd, and sailing on Thursday, 27th. Rotuma will be visited on 29th inst., and the Waikare then runs to Banks Islands, steaming through the group, and visiting Ureparapara, Vanua Lava and Santa Maria. The New Hebrides will next be visited, Port Sandwich and Ambrym being called at on August 3rd, Vale or Sandwich Island will be visited on the 4th, Tanna Island on st.h, and Noumea on Gth, a stay of two days being made there. OnThursdayi 10th, Norfolk Island will be visited, and thence the steamer returns to Sydney, arriving on August 14th. The trip will occupy 39 days, and a total distance of 7030 miles will be covered.
On the trip from Sydney to Auckland rough weather was experienced for the first' two days, the weather being afterwards fine, and the sea smooth.
Tne s.s. Waikare leaves at 4 p.m. for the Islands, the New Zealand passengers joining her at this port.
