The following circular has been Is* sued from the Agricultural Depart-ment:--"It appears that some persons are travelling through the colony dressing fruit trees with some preparation which they represent has been approved by this Department. The following is printed at the foot of the handbill: —'Mr Kirk, Government Pomologist, has inspected the orchards in Wellington, and he informed Mr Bowers that all the blight on the trees were killed.' The above is quite unauthorised and contrary to fact. Neither' Mr Kirk nor the fruit instructors have advised the use of any specifics save those recommended in the Government publications."
