A successful benefit concert and dance in aid of the widow and family of the late Robt. Muir was held last night in, St. Benedict's HalL Vocal and instrumental items interspersed with dancing, were given by Misses Cnmmings, Messrs Norton and W. Skerrett Miss. Barney played a guitar solo and Messrs Ballin and Rowe played a mandolin and guitar duet. Mr Newton went through muscular posing and weight lifting. Father Galagher presided and thanked those present for attending in such large numbers. Messrs T. Drum and A. Hughes acted as M.C.'s for the dances, Quinlan's .string band supplying the music. Misses Barnes, Ada Knight and others played the; accompaniments. Mr P. Quinlan deserves credit for organising the benefit. WARNING TO CYCLISTS.
