The eheif literary event of the week in most Auckland households is the advent of the "Graphic," which since its enlargement and the introduction of several novel features into its passes has won for itself a wider popularity than it ever previously enjoyed. The object of the proprietors is to go on increasing the attractiveness of the publication, and in the case of the monthly mail number to make it of more than ordinary excellence, so that the public may be led to send it abroad to distant friends.
