THE BLACK SWAN MINE
Mr W. C. Kelly, of Tapu, writes: — "In your issue of the 29th June it was stated that Kelly and party, who are working a tribute in the Black Swan-mine crushed ten tons of ore for a return of bullion valued at £34 lls 3d. I wish to state that we are not working a tribute in the Black Swan mine, the said mine being the private property of Mr W. Loekie and myself, the parcel of ore treated being our trial crushing."
