THAMES.
CARDIGAN RETURN.
£285 PROM 15 TONS.
A parcel of fifteen tons of general ore from the No. 2 reef at No. 6 level in the Cardigan mine, and also 401bs of picked, stone has been treated for Sloz of gold. Connor andpar ty, who are working a tribute in the Cardigan ground, crushed 23 tons of general dirt for a return of bullion valued at £88 18/6. The reef now being operated upon in the Cardigan mine averages 14in in thickness, continues to lookvery promising, and a welcome haul of 401b of good picked stone was obtained. As soon as the leading stope has been carried along the full length of the block and the drive timbered, it is probable that more miners will be put on, and vigorous stoping operations gone on with.
