EATES-On June 20, 1899, at New-street, Ponsonby, Mary Ann. relict of James Bates late of the 58th Regiment, aged 79. R.I.P. Leaving three sons and • 21 grandchildren. ' The funeral will leave the residence of Mr C. Little, Hobson-street. To- ' morrow (Friday), 10.30 a.m., reaching Papakura Cemetery, 2 p.m. Friends please accept this intimation. EVANS.-On June 1, at the District Hospital, Benjamin Lewis, eldest and dearly beloved son of Benjamin ana Annie Evans, of Dargavllle, aged n years.

MURRAY.-On June 17, at Kuaotunu, accidentally drowned. Hugh, youngest son of Agnes and the late Hugh Murray, i aged 3 years and S months. 1 Interred at Waikumete.
