MUSICAL EVENING AT THE COSTLEY WARDS.
A musical eveningl was held at the newly-erected Costley wards, Hospital grounds, last night, promoted by Mr J. Stichbury, chairman of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board. About 150 were present by invitation. A long programme of vocal and instrumental items was gone through, the arrangements being in the hands of Mr J. E. Taylor. Those who contributed included Mrs C. P. and Miss Rose Stichbury, Nurse Murray, Rev. W. Finlay Wilson, Nurses Gill and Mason, Geo. Warren, Misses Taylor, Mr J. E. Taylor, Dr. Neil, Mr Jas. Stichbury, Mr Cox,MrSchnackenburg, Nurse.de Montalk,Mr Jourdain, Dr.Egan, Nurse Gill. Nurse Coates acted as accompanist An effective tableau, "The Better Land," was. presented. Nurse Murray sang Mrs Heman's touching words, and Nurses Diike, Pascoe, and Woods and Misses Doris Baldwin and Florrie Bridg-man took part in the picture. At an interval refreshments were served.
