FOOTBALL.
At a meeting of the Management Committee of the Auckland Rugby Union last evening (Mr T. Henderson in the chair), a protest lodged by Ponsonby 1. against Suburbs I. was considered. Ponsonby claimed the match played against Suburbs last Saturday on the ground that one of the latters team, Stewart, way a member of the Graf ton Football Club. After careful consideration the Committee upheld the protest and awarded the match to Ponsonby. Arrangements for referees and grounds on Saturday were made, and will be published with the teams to-morrow evening. In the senior grade Grafton play Suburbs on No. 1 ground at Epsom, City play Parnell on No.. 2 ground, and Ponsonby play North Shore at Devonport,'Newton standing out.
