SHAREMARKET.
A little activity was imparted into business on the Exchange to-day owing to the good news from the Bunker's Hill mine causing a brisk demand for shares in that company. Sales Avere made at 2/7, 2/8, 2/9 and 2/10, with strong buyers left. May Queen shares also advanced in price, being sold at 7/(5, with further buyers at 7/4 and no sellers Tinder 7/9. Alburnias sold at 9d, and Ohinemuris at 4Jd. Waihi shares had a smart advance, being sold at yesterday evening's call at £S, and to-day there were still buyers at £7 17/6. Waihi Silvertons, Waitekauris, Talismans and Crowns also had buyers at recent quotations. Grace Darling shares firmed a little, being wanted at 1/S. In Standard stocks, buyers to-day offered 9/ for a good line of D.S.C. shares. National Banks were wanted at 50/, and South British Insurance at 5.1/6. Other stocks were unaltered.
