The Government steamer Hinemoa left for East Island yesterday morning.
Captain F. W. Mcßeth, late master of the Ovalau, takes command of the s.s. Walhora, which has,received a thorough overhaul at Port Chalmers.
The s.s. Pukakl arrived from Wwstport yesterday with a cargo of coals. She left Westport at 2 a.m. on Wednesday, and met a strong north-east gale with heavy seas and thick weather till Thursday last. Passed Cape Maria at 3 a.m. on Satur:day, and arrived at 8 a.m. yesterday. The.Pukaki returns to Westport on Wednesday. . . r , •,;•>'
