WANGANUI, this day.
Mr W. S. Ingle, ironmonger, ■ was found dead in bed this morning. His death was probably due to heart disease. NEW PLYMOUTH, Thursday. At the Supreme Court Dennis Crowley, charged with a criminal assault, wai acquitted, the.defence not beingcalled on. .Joseph Newman pleaded guilty to forgery, and was admitted to probation. Fredk. Gilmore, for forgery of an incomplete order was sentenced to 14 clays' imprisonment. Geo. Sturmey, charged with uttering counterfeit coin, pleaded guilty, and was admitted to probation. J. L. Lund, for stealing a bicycle, got six months. The inquest, on Asher, killed at the railway station yesterday, was adjourned after the evidence of Dr. Walker had been taken.
